Superb skiing for all abilities. Situated in the Monterosa ski area, Gressoney is fast becoming one of the top resorts in the Aosta Valley. With extensive, interliked high level skiing for all abilities, skiers will have the sensation of travelling around amid impressive scenery. The area in total offers 200m of piste. A recent article in a sunday newspaper quotes Gressoney as 'Italy's answer to the 3 valleys' THE SKIING The pistes favour beginners and intermediates as they are well groomed. They are served by an excellent modern lift system with several high speed chairlifts. The main linking lifts are at the head of the valley, at Stafal, where our hotel is situated. For intermediates who like to travel, the area is great, with long runs from the ridges down to the valleys. They will also enjoy the tree lined links into nearby Champoluc which also offers ,ore for the expert. Beginners are also well catered for on the lower slopes around Trinite and Stafal. The snow reliability is also good, thanks to the altitude and extensive snow making facilities, especially on the west facing runs. APRES SKI Down in Trinite and St Jean are a number of apres ski activities available including, skating, swimming, pizzerias, bars, cafes, shops.
