Aprica

DOORSTEP SKIING 1181 - 2300M
Aprica is situated at 1180m above sea level in Valtellina. It is a resort equipped to accommodate some 25,000 guests in its hotels and apartments. The resort has been very popular with British skiers for many years due to its good snow record and variety of skiing. With the recent amalgamation of lift pass companies and superb accommodation, this resort has become a firm favourite with our regular customers.

THE SKIING
Our hotels are situated on the edge of the nursery slopes in a superb position. From here a wide gentle area enables beginners to progress ver quickly. Within 50 meters of the hotels are a further 2 lifts, a new high speed gondola and a chairlift. These parallel lifts quicklytakes skiers to an altitude of 1700 meters where they connect to other lifts and open up a wide area of varied skiing. In total over 20 lifts cover some 50km of marked piste. From the top ski height 0f 2300m skiers have a choice of several blue and red runs back to the village, the longest of which is m long. For better skiers there are 3 challenging black runs including the 3800m Benedetti. Due to its position and altitude, the resort has an excellent snow record but the nearby resort of Tonale acts as a back up.

APRES SKI
The village of Aprica is very long and offers a variety of apres ski activities including swimming and skating. There are also discos, pizzerias and a number os shops , wine bars, a cinema and several restaurants.
